The Marginalized Organic Producers Association is thrilled to announce the eagerly awaited Annual General Meeting (AGM) in 2024, a pivotal event that stands as the highest decision-making body of our esteemed organization. Set to take place during the first week of February 2024 at the esteemed Plant Genetic Resources Centre, P.O. Box 59, Gannoruwa, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, this year’s AGM promises to be a historic gathering.

Constitutionally, the AGM will witness robust participation from 50 village societies, with each society represented by two members. This exceptional level of engagement underscores our unwavering commitment to inclusivity and collective decision-making. The AGM embodies our dedication to fostering an environment where every member’s voice not only matters but actively shapes the future of our organization.

The AGM will uphold the highest standards of organic and Fairtrade practices, reflecting our steadfast commitment to ethical and sustainable principles. It will serve as a platform for the convergence of policy decisions formulated by the Board of Management, operational strategies outlined by the Operations Committee, and administrative directives overseen by the General Manager, ensuring that every decision is aligned with our organization’s core values.
